The Ultimate Camden Market Itinerary
VISITING THE MARKET
SHARE
First time Camden Market visitor? We’ve done the legwork for you, with this day-to-night to-do list…
Early Morning
9am-10am — Breakfast
Whilst you are waiting for the stalls to open, head to Cereal Killers Cafe for sugary cereals with a side of nostalgia, The Camden Grocer for an indulgent brekkie of gourmet eggs and Camden Coffee for the best and strongest coffee in Camden.
10am-10:30am — The Perfect Selfie Op
Before things get too busy, you’ll want to get those perfect Insta-snaps out of the way. We recommend down by the Camden Lock, in front of the Shaka Zulu statues for that banging shot of the bridge in the background.
Shopping & Lunch
10:30am-12:30pm — Vintage Shopping
A rummage through the Market’s best vintage stores including What Goes Around, and St Cyr Vintage are the perfect place to pick up a proper Camden Market souvenir, from distressed denim to 1950s prom dresses.
12:30pm-1:30pm — Lunch
For some of London’s best street food traders and dishes from every cuisine, head to the West Yard for the likes of The Cheese Wheel, Only Jerkin’ or Yorkshire Burrito.
Afternoon tripping
1:30pm-2:15pm — A Visit to CyberDog or Vagina Museum
No trip to Camden Market would be complete without a stop at the rave punk paradise that is CyberDog. Pick up some outrageous outfits, pick up some glow in the dark body paint, pick up a sex toy or two.
Or if take a peek into the Vagina Museum and behold their Muff Busters exhibition. Learn about the female production system, anatomy and not-so-fun stuff too.
2:15pm-4:15pm — A Trip on the Waterbus
Part of the Market’s charm is its canal-side location, so a voyage down Regent’s Canal — which can take you as far as Little Venice and back — is a chilled out way to take in the sights, including ZSL London Zoo.
Twilight teachings
4:15pm-5:30pm — Pick Up a Record or Two
If you want to pick up something to take home and practice with, Camden Market’s record stalls have stock everything from punk to reggae, jazz and funk.
5:30-6:30pm — Distill Your Own Gin
Put some gin in your grin with Camden Market’s resident micro-distillery HALF HITCH Gin. Spend an hour at their Gin School learning about the process and bring in flavourings to create your very own unique gin to take home.
After dark
6:30pm-7:30pm — Dinner
Grab a slice of the action with Mexican cantina, Cafe Chula (where you can also grab a mojito). If you prefer to have something cheesy going on, The Cheese Bar are serving up oozy cheeseboards and grilled cheese sandwiches.
7:30pm onwards — Catch Some Comedy or a Gig
No trip to Camden would be complete without some live music, so head to Dingwalls or the Roundhouse for a gig. Don’t wanna stop there? Finish the night off in either Lockside Camden or FEST.
