It’s time for the Emerald Isle to have its time in the spotlight.
This St. Patrick’s Day, we’re bringing unique events and family festivities to Camden Market on Saturday 15th March, celebrating everything that Celtic culture has to offer. We have an array of free events coming up, from live music to bodhrán workshops, as well as baking workshops, Irish dancing performances and a Celtic cabaret.
Most events are free and drop-in! If no ticket link is provided below, please feel free to come along to Market Place, Hawley Wharf, Camden Market on the day with no pre-booking required. Exact location of drop in events can be found here.
Saturday Line Up
The Joys Of Irish Baking
Seamus and Paul O’Brien from north London’s top celtic bakery, Sun Flour Bakery, will be in Camden Market teaching you the ways of soda bread. Learn, bake and take home to enjoy! 1-5pm, Hawley Wharf.
Bridie The Irish Tea Lady
Bridie is a tea lady with a twist - a stilt-walking, tea-making performer who's sure to fill your cup with joy. 1-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Sounds of Ireland Traditional Music with the Quinn Family
The Quinn Family are an integral part of the thriving traditional London Irish music scene and will enliven the St Patrick's Day festivities at Camden Market. 2-4.30pm in Hawley Wharf.
Irish Circus
Join the fun with Irish Circus performers – acrobats and jugglers will amaze and entertain! 1-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Paint the St Patrick's Mural
Join Artist Scott Walker and create the Camden Market St Patrick's Mural – a giant artwork for all the family. 1.30-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Family Arts & Crafts Workshops
Join the art and craft workshop activities with Anna Hearts Art for children of all ages. 1-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Irish Themed Face Painting
Free drop in face painting with Irish inspiration. 1-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Bodhrán Masterclass with Ruairi Glasheen
Get the whole family involved and learn to play the traditional Irish Drum, the bodhran. 4.30-5.30pm.
Irish Dancing by McGahan Lees Dance Academy
Irish dancers from North London's McGahan Lees Dance Academy perform in the heart of Camden Market to celebrate Irish dance and encourage you to join in. Plus, they'll parade their skills through the market for all to see! From 1-5pm in Hawley Wharf.
Celtic Cabaret with Sláinte! Theatre
Sláinte! Theatre presents a one night only Celtic Cabaret with comedy, spoken word, folk music and more. Pure upfront, daring Irish themed entertainment especially curated for Camden Market St Patrick’s Festivities. From 7pm at Dingwalls, Camden Lock.
