SNEAK A UNIQUE PRESENT UNDER THE TREE THIS CHRISTMAS
There’s one shopping weekend left until the 25 December. If you’re on a last minute gift-getting mission – but you don’t want to lose your title as best present buyer – hit up these 10 traders in Camden Market for thoughtful stocking fillers for the whole fam. Just follow the map above. Then pat yourself on the back and treat yourself to a pint in our live music lounge, Winter’s Place. You deserve it.
DISC DISCIPLES
A great gift for dad – that track from the 80s he LOVES on vinyl. Camden Lock Place’s Disc Disciples is stuffed with second hand records from his era, so you’re sure to find something up his street. Top tip: get it framed and transform it into a piece of album art.
BOOKS ICONICA
A good read never goes amiss especially at this time of year (cue: cosy fire and a cup of cocoa). Books Iconica is an independent book shop that only sells the prettiest editions of classic titles. Give a clothbound copy of A Christmas Carol, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland or Great Expectations – because it’s wholesome (and easy to wrap).
FORMS
Carefully created by the founder Ako, this little shop – tucked way on the upper walkway of Camden Lock Place – is a corner of zen, stocked full of contemporary ceramics, leather accessories and delicate jewellery. Walk in with £20, leave with something pretty.
HALF HITCH
Call us biased, but once you’ve tried Half Hitch – flavoured with Malawian black tea and Calabrian bergamot – you can’t go back to normal gin. It comes in a beautiful bottle; a good looking and great tasting addition to any alcohol-lover’s cabinet.
BLAZE ON
It’s not Christmas until the fairy lights are up. Blaze On in Camden Lock Place is packed with hundreds of these little bulbs, cased in tiny artisan made lampshades of every colour, shape and size imaginable – and they do a great range of candles. Spoil your friend, or your tree.
ACCEPTED REBELLION
Art’s not just for Christmas, it’s for life. So you could casually drop bae a Banksy this Christmas, but if that’s a little out of price range, Accepted Rebellion also do affordable print pieces for under £100.
THE FLOUR STATION
You can’t go wrong with food, right? And Flour Station in our North Yard really raises the bar with shelves full of tasty farmhouse and artisan produce. Make your own hamper with Neal’s Yard cheeses, chutneys, jams, marmalades and more.
WE BUILT THIS CITY
From limited edition prints to neon pigeons and vases shaped like London bricks, these guys have the very best in cool souvenirs – the perfect stocking fillers for city-lovers.
CAMDEN WATCH CO.
Boys turn into men the day they start wearing a good watch and if you’re on the hunt for something special we’ve got just the thing: the No. 88, a brand new, limited edition timepiece from the Camden Watch Co. in our North Yard. Only 200 exist and it’s inspired by the late, great Camden-born boxer, Tom Sayers.
