Where to grab a bite before Camden’s Apple Music Festival

If you’ve been lucky enough to get your mitts on tickets to the Apple Music Festival, listen up. Last entry is at 8pm – and if you’re speedy, that leaves just enough time for a quick snack and a cheeky half beforehand.

Camden Market’s packed with places for pre gig fuel, less than five minutes walk from the Roundhouse, where the likes of Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Calvin Harris and Chance the Rapper will be taking to the stage. Here are a few…

KERB Camden Market

35 street food traders, serving everything you could ever dream of on brioche buns, wraps and rice. Treat yourself to some fast fine dining and a glass of wine or craft ale from the KERB bar. We’d recommend Ink – crispy Szechuan squid – or truffled mac ‘n’ cheese from the Mac Factory.

Where: West Yard

Voodoo Ray’s

North London newcomer Voodoo Ray’s sells NYC-style pizzas by the slice. The diner cooks each giant cheesy triangle to order in four minutes flat and they’re offering 10% off pizza to anyone with an Apple Music Festival ticket. Frozen margaritas are served from retro Slush Puppy machines – knock one down while you wait. And if you’re still hungry after the gig, go back for that second slice.

Atrium Kitchen

How about a feta, chicory and watermelon salad? Or a sharing board stacked with crusty bread, freshly cut charcuterie and a glass of wine? This cafe turns into a restaurant in the evening, serving fresh healthy food. It’s Camden’s best kept secret.

Ghetto Grillz

Ghetto’s salt beef Reuben is everything you love about the New York classic in a fluffy Brick Lane bagel. It’s cheesy, gooey, creamy and crispy all at the same time. Eat in, or take out and polish it off in the queue.

Proud

The Alice in Wonderland themed roof terrace at this night club overlooks the Roundhouse and conveniently, it also does great pub food. It’s the perfect place to enjoy an ice cold lager before or after the gig. Still want more Calvin? It’s likely to be played on Proud’s dance floor later.
