Backyard Cinema Screening: Purple Rain

London’s favourite al fresco cinema is returning to Camden Market in August, celebrating music.

Rock music drama Purple Rain was conceived as a vehicle to showcase Prince’s supreme talents (a rare and game-changing move for a musician to make at the time): cue a film punctuated by awesome concert sequences that also packs a power punch of gritty drama. The film marked Prince’s acting debut as seemingly biographical character, ‘The Kid’. The film’s original score (aka Prince’s sixth studio album, Purple Rain) is exceptional, naturally. 

Camden Market’s Honest Burgers will be supplying the grub and a Meantime Brewery truck will be serving up fresh cold drinks.
