The African Market

On the first Saturday of the month from June to August, Open The Gate’s The African Market will set up shop on our very own cobbles, bringing something extra special for all of your senses. Step into North Yard and you’ll find yourself in and amongst the colours, sights, sounds and tastes of the continent.

The African Market will showcase original and ethical African fashion, accessories, jewellery and shoes as well as some incredible and authentic arts and crafts, homewares, natural beauty products, books, music and more.

Put on your dancing shoes, as you’ll be able to get involved in traditional drumming and dancing circles with Drum Song’s workshops. And trust us, you won’t leave hungry as the food on offer is going to be delicious.
