Camden Sentido: Exhibition

With the Rio Olympics on the horizon, we’ve partnered with Camden Council to create a unique series of events to engage all the senses in celebration of Brazil’s spirit, under the umbrella Camden Sentido.

Conceptual artists Flora Parrott and Gustavo Ferro will kick off the programme in Camden Market’s Provender Building. Curated by Charlie Levine, the two-day art event documents a virtual day the two artists spent together over Whatsapp in March 2016. With Flora in Camden and Gustavo in São Paulo, the pair shared images, films, and conversation about their journeys, what they encountered and what similarities the two places shared – describing everything from sights and sounds to the iconic architecture of each city.

From this exchange, Flora and Gustavo have produced an exhibition that looks at spaces and our place within them, which they have interweaved with their walking tour of Camden Market itself. A unique and thought-provoking show to engage all the senses.
