50 Years of Pride

The 50th anniversary of Stonewall is fast approaching this Friday with Pride in London following next weekend. We’re only halfway through the year and there have been some monumental moments in LGBT+ history. From Taiwan legalising same-sex marriage to queer representation in the media growing to the holy city of Amritsar, India holding their first pride parade.
However, the fight for equality is still an ongoing one with hate crimes on the rise and the LGBT community still struggling to attain basic rights in the UK. These Camden Market traders are proud supporters and allies; raising awareness and donating a portion of their profits to LGBT charities.
TO HOME FROM LONDON
To mark the 50 years of activism, the people from popular souvenir shop To Home From London have reinvented their fan favourite, The Queen’s Guard magnetic coaster with a Pride special edition. Every coaster sold, £1 will be donated to Pride in London.
Join the Rainbow Army and head to their many stalls across Camden Market or order online here.
DR. MARTENS
Born almost 10 years before Stonewall, Dr. Martens have been a symbol for rebellious self-expression for decades. The 1460 boot hasn’t changed much in its design and this Pride Month, Dr. Martens has adorned the Pride flag colours as well as its continued support with LGBTQ+ youth homeless charity, akt. A portion of the profits from each Pride shoe sale will be put into akt’s pockets to provide safe homes and support to the queer youth of today.
Head to their Camden Market flagship store in the Stables Yard or order your pair online.
KOO STYLE
In celebration of Pride Month, Koo Style has created a selection of rainbow coloured iron-on patches. They’ve created an abundance of rainbow themed patches ranging from popular queer symbols to a quirky rainbow ice cream to the classic rainbow flag: a perfect way to show your allyship and pride.
Find them in Saddle Row or go online to see their rainbow collection.
