Walking route
Top tips
- Start at Regent’s Park tube station (on the Bakerloo line). This walk takes you clockwise around the royal grounds that were originally used for hunting by Henry VIII. Head inside and follow the footpath to the left.
- By the time you’ve got to the end of the boating lake – where you can feed the ducks of ride around on giant swans! – you’re a mile in. Park yourself at the Boathouse Cafe, admire the views and tuck into a sarnie, it’s what King Henry would want.
- At the top of Primrose Hill you’ll witness views capable of reviving even the most jaded Londoner’s love affair with their city. Once you’ve drunk in the scenery, settle in at The Pembroke Castle on Gloucester Avenue for a real drink, or two. You might even spot a celeb.
- At Camden Market, check out the shops in and around our North Yard – to name just a few, there’s the Camden Watch Co. for NW1 inspired timepieces, gourmet deli The Camden Grocer, neon rave superstore Cyberdog and loads of great vintage shops. Snap a selfie by the canal before heading to the West Yard for some street food. Because by this point you’ve definitely earned yourself a Baba G’s Bhangra burger and fries, right?
- Stroll back through the English Gardens in Regent’s Park – if that Bhangra burger didn’t top off your stroll, these gardens will. There’s even a secret one. Turn right at the Rose Garden and look for the little gate.
