General Eyewear
Bespoke, designer and vintage frames
General Eyewear was established in 1997 as a production resource for cinema, theatre and fashion at the highest levels. Assembling a collection of every imaginable style, type and use of eyewear, General Eyewear have designed, sourced and made pieces for film and fashion all over the world - and have supplied for films directed by Tim Burton, Wes Anderson and Steven Spielberg. With 25 years of experience, along with our collection of vintage pieces, they've grown from a production house into a fully fledged store, archive and brand. Their own designs are entirely handmade in England using traditional techniques and methods, and they also stock an extensive selection of vintage and antique frames. They are also able to repair frames and can dispense lenses for a wide variety of prescriptions. Even if you don’t need glasses, one visit will make you wish you did.
