WE’VE GOT A NEW STATEMENT WALL AND HERE’S WHAT IT HAS TO SAY
Remember when we turned a four-story wall into a monumental space constellation? Well, we’ve been at it again with the paint brush – and this time the wall doesn’t just look epic, it talks too.
Let us introduce you to the artists: they’re called Walls on Walls and they’re a two-part artistic duo made up of print designer Laurie Nouchka and composer Tullis Rennie. Together they turn bricks and mortar into audio-visual art. For the uninitiated that’s an abstract feature wall linked to a sound piece you can listen to online.
For their next canvas? The seating area in Market Hall next to sit-down diner, Honest Burgers. Scraps of architectural detail, our rich cultural diversity and the forever changing layout of stalls have resulted in a perfectly uncoordinated cacophony of colour and geometric pattern.
Go grab a burger, check it out and have a listen.
