Exploring Camden Market with Lucy-Jayne Love

Camden Market has been a favourite of mine to explore since I began visiting London a few years ago. It was something about the atmosphere and eclectic mixture of items available from the myriad of stalls that just drew me in and continues to excite me with every visit – where else can you buy fresh squeezed orange juice, cyber punk fashion, traditional Indian jewellery and vintage clothing all in one place?!

I was lucky enough to be invited down with my best blogger friend by Camden Market themselves to explore our favourite stalls and talk you through our favourite items. I have to admit that, while usually completely drawn in by the many different fashion items available, this time I found myself fixated on the little trinkets that would look amazing in my new home.

I’ve recently moved to a new flat, and the most exciting thing about getting somewhere unfurnished for the first time is that it is a totally blank canvas for me to make my own. I find myself hugely inspired by India and I love everything from the culture to the food to the artwork, therefore I was in absolute heaven exploring the little trinket shops, breathing in the incense and admiring the stunning wall hangings.

I wore my absolute favourite Camden find to date for the occasion, which is my amazing Harrington jacket. I bought it roughly a year ago and it’s remained one of my all time favourite purchases. Such a classic piece, it gives me all the mod vibes while at the same time satisfying my love for all things alternative by mixing black and tartan. Speaking of which, I very nearly brought a pair of black and tartan Banned trousers home with me – if only they’d fit!

I had an amazing day wandering round my favourite market with my favourite friend, eating amazing food and shopping for gorgeous one of a kind items! If you’re planning a visit to London, or if you’re yet to visit Camden Market, I couldn’t recommend a visit enough! (Oh and if you do, make sure you stop by KERB Camden Market and get yourself some halloumi fries, you’ll never regret it…)
