the YOUTH CLUB launch party. With House and Techno on the decks, there’ll be Camden Town Brewery behind the bar, keeping you

Normski Talk — Thursday 11th May
Prolific photographer, DJ, rapper and presenter Normski has been part of the music scene for his entire life. He’ll be coming down to
YOUTH CLUB for a free talk discussing the emergence of the hip hop scene in London and New York. His incredible work led him to
photograph Dr Dre, Barry White and Run DMC. He is excited to be returning to Camden where he has his first ever job at the Rock Shop.
Exist To Resist — Saturday 20th May
A proud activist armed with a camera, Matthew Smith has been documenting the changing face of rave and free party culture, public protests and activism since the late 80s. Matthew Smith and YOUTH CLUB are excited to launch ‘EXIST TO RESIST’, a groundbreaking new book project celebrating British DIY protest and rave culture in the 1990s. Join us for an evening to celebrate this groundbreaking new book; there will be DJs, drinks and of course copies of the book.
Gavin Watson Talk — Thursday May 25th
Renowned subculture Gavin Watson began photographing his brother Neville in the early 80s, eventually leading him to document the Skinhead and Rave scenes. He’ll be joining us at YOUTH CLUB to talk about teenage rebellion, and how his work photographing these misunderstood youth cultures eventually led him to become a commercial photographer.
Closing Party — Friday 26th May
After an incredible two months at Camden Market, YOUTH CLUB and Unite & Take Over will be closing on May 31st. Not without having a big closing party beforehand though. We will be lining up some top class DJs to see us out properly.
