When is the Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop open?

Santa is opening his doors on the following dates: Sat 24th & Sun 25th Nov, Sat 1st & Sun 2nd Dec, Sat 8th & Sun 9th Dec, Sat 15th & Sun 16th Dec, Mon 17th Dec to Sun 23rd Dec.

Each session is approximately 45 minutes long. Sessions take place at selected times between 11am and 5.15pm.

Other dates and session times may become available, please contact us if you would like to be notified of newly released dates.

How do I book?

Simply select your preferred date and time on the Eventbrite and follow the on screen instructions.

How much does it cost?

Each child ticket is £15.00. It is advised that bookings are made, in advance however subject to availability, there will be the opportunity to buy tickets on the door. One adult is admitted in to the activity space with each child ticket purchased.

What age range is this suitable for?

No one knows their child better than you (and Santa!). We recommend children from the age of 2 – 10 years old will get the most out of this experience. If, however you wish to purchase a ticket for a child younger or older than this, we are more than happy to welcome them.

Do babies pay?

No. Babies in arms (up to 12 months) are free of charge and may accompany a sibling with a purchased ticket. Please note that the activities will be aimed at older children. You are however welcome to take a photograph of them with Santa.  

What time should I arrive for my booking?

Doors will open just before the allotted session start time. Whilst we will be unable to admit you inside the workshop before this time we recommend you allow plenty of time to locate the workshop and enjoy Camden Market and all it has to offer.

What happens if I’m late?

Because of the nature of the activity and to avoid disrupting the experience for other children we may not be able to admit latecomers. We will where possible attempt to move you on to an alternative session, if one is available.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. You can download the Eventbrite app and scan the QR code at the workshop entrance or you can simply show the confirmation email on your phone or tablet.

What happens at Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop?

Pre-booked groups will be led into the Elves Workshop, to help with a number of magical activities and games and later taken by the Elves to see Santa in his study. If you ask the elves nicely they might also tell you a few of the many secrets about how Santa travels around the whole world in one night.

The experience promises to be bursting with traditional magic throughout.

How long will the children’s visit to Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop last?

Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Are parents allowed to watch?

Absolutely. Each ticket includes entry for one child and their accompanying adult. However an additional complimentary adult ticket can be provided, subject to availability, please email us for more information.

All children must be accompanied by one adult and must remain under that adult’s supervision at all times.

Is there food and drink available at the workshop?

Yes, Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop is situated in the heart of Camden Market where refreshments and food can be purchased all day long.

What are the ingredients in the gingerbread?

The ingredients are as follows: flour, butter, ginger, baking soda, light brown sugar, eggs and syrup.

If you have any concerns regarding allergies please contact us immediately and we will arrange for an alternative decorating activity for your child.

Do the gingerbread contain nuts?

The gingerbread do not contain any nuts, but are made in a bakery where nut-based products are present so may contain traces of nuts. If you have any concerns regarding allergies please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

Are all the performers DBS checked?

Yes, they are.

Is there anywhere to leave my belongings while the activity takes place?

Unfortunately, we do not have room to hold coats, hats, scarves, toboggans or your pet reindeer and cannot be held responsible for any items left unattended.

What are my transportation and parking options for the Workshop?

Camden Town and Chalk Farm tube stations are 5 and 7 minutes’ walk respectively, away from Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop. There are also bus stops along Chalk Farm Road, located next to Camden Market. There is limited parking near and surrounding Camden Market, as well as Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s with free car parking of up to 2hrs for paying customers. These are both located up to 10 minutes’ walk away from Camden Market. 

Is there place to park prams?

Yes! There will be a buggy area inside the Elves Workshop.

Is the place accessible?

Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop will be situated on the ground floor. No need to worry about carrying prams up the stairs!

Where are the nearest toilets and baby changing facilities?

There are wheelchair and baby changing facilities around the Market, close to the Workshop. Please ask one of the Elves to guide you in the right direction. Please keep in mind, entry to the toilets costs 40p per person.

Is there a gift shop?

Camden Market is filled with one-of-a-kind gifts perfect for those who have everything.

Can I take photographs inside the experience?

You certainly can. Photos are permitted throughout the activity, including your child’s meeting with Santa. Please note that images taken may only be used as personal memories and not for any commercial purposes. Filming IS permitted, but as with photography this cannot be for any commercial purposes.

Will I get a photograph as part of my ticket price?

There will be no photographer present on the day however you are more than welcome to bring your own camera along to capture the experience.

Will my child get to spend time with Santa?

They certainly will! During the slot, each child will be taken to Santa’s study individually to speak to Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes. There will be lots of photo opportunities for parents during this time!

Can I cancel or amend my booking?

Yes. Changing your booking is subject to availability and we will need 24hrs notice beforehand. Refunds will be considered, with a minimum of 24hrs notice, but this will be at our discretion. Please contact us if you need to amend or cancel your booking.

Is my ticket transferable or if the name doesn’t match the person who attends?

Yes, as long as you have the Eventbrite app and QR code ticket with the details. 

Do I need to queue?

No. Santa is of course very popular and queuing to meet him is one of the things we know parents and children find frustrating. At Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop because tickets are for a set allocated session there is no need for you to queue in order to take part.

However, as each session can cater for up to a maximum of 15 children there may inevitably be a slight delay getting access to the building once the doors are open. This should be minimal though and each session will begin at the stated time. 

Is there Disabled Access?

Yes, the Workshop is situated on the ground floor in Stables Yard.

Can I book an exclusive private visit for my child and his/her friends?

Yes of course.  It may also be possible to lay on a private Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop experience for you outside of the regular opening hours. Please contact us for further details.

Who do I talk to if I am unhappy in any way?

Us! Although we are sure this will not be necessary. Christmas is a magical and special time and is our goal that your experience with us will be just that. If you are in anyway dissatisfied, please contact us immediately and we will do all we can to rectify things.

If on the other hand you are happy with your experience with us, please tell everyone! Friends, family, neighbours, strangers in the street. Everyone!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read before booking your ticket(s). By purchasing ticket(s) to Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop, you & your children are agreeing to fully comply with these Terms and Conditions.

All children must be accompanied by one adult and must remain under that adult’s supervision at all times.  The welfare and safety of all children therefore remain the full responsibility of the parent/guardian attending the session and not that of Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop Staff.

Multiple children attending together in the same group can be supervised by a single adult however, in these circumstances there must be a maximum of four children per adult.

Whilst bookings must be made by someone over the age of 18, Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop is tailored for children aged between 2-10 years. Every child must be accompanied by one adult. Tickets can be amended or refunded given a minimum of 24hrs notice and is subject to availability, please contact [email protected] for more information. Once you have completed your booking you will receive a confirmation email, including your booking reference number. To gain entry to the venue you must use the Eventbrite app with your ticket and QR code ready to be scanned or show your confirmation email. Feel free to find Santa’s Gingerbread workshop prior to your allocated slot, but please be aware doors will open just before the specified time. The experience will begin at the time specified on your booking confirmation email. 

Late arrival/entry will result in your child(ren) missing out on some of the activities. We reserve the right to request that guests (including their children) leave the venue if we believe that their behaviour is adversely affecting the experience for our other guests. In these cases, no refunds will be given.

Please note that by purchasing tickets, you agree to share your email address with us, so that we can give you information of upcoming events and services relevant to you. We will NOT share this data with ANY third parties.

 PHOTOGRAPHY

There will be no photographer present on the day however you are more than welcome to bring your own camera along to capture the experience. Please note that any photographs can only be for personal use and not commercial use. Filming is allowed but as with photographs this can only be for personal use and not commercial use.

RUNNING ORDER

We reserve the right to change the running order of the sessions at any time. Whilst we will always provide a range of creative and imaginative activities for children, we reserve the right to vary/alter these according to unforeseen circumstances. Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop is a group experience. Each child will spend time with Santa during their allocated session.

CANCELLATION

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we may need to postpone or cancel a session. In the unlikely event of this happening we will not be liable for any travel costs or other loss incurred. However, we will endeavour to book you on an alternative available date as quickly as possible. 

If you wish to refund your tickets, these will be considered given a minimum of 24hrs notice and will be to our discretion.

Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop endeavours to provide the best possible experience and feedback is always welcome. If you would like to discuss your experience, please feel free to chat with us on the day or contact us via email within a week of your visit.

LIABILITY

We will not be liable for any injuries, loss of personal possessions, other losses or damage of any kind during your session. All children are under the direct supervision of parents/ guardians throughout their visit.

We will not be held liable or responsible for cancellation due to an event outside our control e.g. severe weather conditions, fire, flood, terrorist attack, and unexpected black out, electricity failure. In the unlikely event that this happens we will attempt to provide an alternative visiting time for you but this cannot be guaranteed.
